FAVORED LADIES OF GOD IN CHRIST
The Sound of Worship Hip-Hop
Favored Ladies of God in Christ, more commonly known as F.L.O.G.I.C, is an award-winning New-York based Christian duo composed of sisters Breanna and Taylour Dickerson. Born and raised on Long Island, New York, the sisters grew up singing, praise dancing, and doing theatre in church, and their Pentecostal C.O.G.I.C roots is the foundation for what they describe as "Worship Hip-Hop." The sisters began their duo journey at the burgeoning ages of five and six years old. They recorded and performed songs of cultural and thematic messages as well as campaign jingles for organizations like "Keep Islip Clean." The young ladies accomplished this while also touring and performing in regional theatre. Both ladies also starred in several legit and musical theatre productions at their alma mater - the prestigious The Knox School - where their colleagues included Olympian Miles Chamely-Watson, L.A Reid's son, Aaron Reid, and Prophet Manasseh Jordan, to name a few. After graduation, the two were admitted to a highly-regarded conservatory in Hollywood, CA to pursue Musical Theatre and Acting degrees, respectively, and attended briefly before moving back to New York to restart their music career.
F.L.O.G.I.C has a heart for God which can be heard in their biblically-sound, word-based lyrics. They are certified Christian educators that use their background in biblical and secular education to teach God's word through music and entertainment. Descendants of a family line of polyglots, the two speak over ten languages, and continue to learn more as they grow their family's legacy. F.L.O.G.I.C has a rich family history and culture rooted in Trinidadian, Puerto Rican, German, Irish, and St. Thomas ancestry, and identify as Caribbean Christian women. The dynamic duo continues to break cultural and generational barriers with their timeless and infectious anthems. They are called and qualified to make music that skillfully teaches the word of God in a fun and exciting, catchy way. F.L.O.G.I.C is known for their exceptional live show, and are highly sought-after performers having performed across the country at some of the most iconic venues such as NYC's infamous Apollo Theater, SOBs, Symphony Space, The Paramount Theater, and the Pasadena Auditorium where they were hand-selected for America's Got Talent season 14.
In 2023, F.L.O.G.I.C founded Ratchet Revival. Most people are familiar with the derogatory word for ratchet - an American slang term that derived from wretched and even a possible expletive term - but many forget of the lyrics from the famous hymn “Amazing Grace” that says, “Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me….” F.L.O.G.I.C has taken the less-common meaning of the word ratchet to present a revival to those who are looking to be fixed just as this tool is intended to do. The revival presents an opportunity for believers to gather and worship in their own way and is a free event for the community that includes praise, prayer, and the proclamation. The sisters are inspirational and dedicated to spreading the gospel! They continue these efforts through their company "She's the Balm," the place where women heal. It is a safe space they have created where, as they say, "it's more than beauty, it's belonging." Currently, the two have also returned to their theatrical roots, and have been working on television and film production in addition to their musical endeavors. Both ladies have proven to be integral, intellectual creatives and purposeful disciples who are taking over the kingdom with their kingdom ministry.
